Mattias Lock

  • Diploma of Remedial Massage – Loftus TAFE

Mattias Lock, a graduate from Loftus Tafe’s renowned Diploma of Remedial Massage, is incredibly passionate about the benefits of remedial massage and is excited to be joining the Pilates Power & Physiotherapy team. In 2016, Mattias was in a workplace accident that left him as an above knee amputee. What many would see as a hurdle in life, Mattias instead used this accident as his motivation. It taught him how to be resilient, work hard, set goals and achieve them, and to be a more empathetic person to people’s needs. It also opened his eyes to the benefits and healing nature of remedial massage, seeing a weekly therapist himself to assist with his recovery. This sparked in him the desire to help others the way remedial massage has helped him.

Mattias currently holds a Purple belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and is dedicated to pursuing the sport. He also has a deep love of the ocean, having previously worked as a Scuba Diving Instructor with over 4000+ dives. He also loves spending time with his growing family down at the beach or going camping with them and exploring the country.

Mattias loves helping others, whether it is to treat muscle pain, improve range of motion, speed up recovery from injury or to relieve the stress from everyday life. His belief is that a good massage is tailored to the individual client and their needs. Mattias is well versed in all Remedial Techniques, including Myofascial Release, Deep Tissue Massage, Manual Lymphatic Drainage, Sports Massage and Pregnancy Massage
