The origins of PPP go back to 2009, when physiotherapist Karina Craig founded Pilates Power Cronulla—at the time the only Pilates studio in Cronulla and the first to offer Pilates-based clinical rehabilitation.

4 years later she was joined by her business partner, Barbara Wood. By adding Physiotherapy Services to the existing business, they established Pilates Power and Physiotherapy Cronulla, or short PPP.

Karina and Barbara have both worked extensively as physiotherapists in public and private clinic settings, overseas and in Australia. They came together with the idea to offer best-practice Physiotherapy, Clinical Rehabilitation and Pilates, all under one roof.

Their shared the vision to create a welcoming space where every stage of a client’s journey could be managed in one location, by the same team of health and fitness professionals.

Still in its original location, the historic Graham & Blair building in the heart of Cronulla, PPP has grown to occupy the entire upper level with three large studios, physio and massage rooms, and a multi-disciplinary team of 11 practitioners plus front desk staff.

Community

As a locally owned and operated business, PPP has a strong community focus and has built long standing relationships with many other local businesses and individuals, regularly sponsoring community events such as the Cancer Council’s annual Relay for Life, and helping the Shire-based Dandelion Support Network assist children and families in need. PPP also provide work place experience opportunities for local high school students.

“Building our wonderful space in Cronulla has been a PPP team effort over many years, and I am proud of the holistic, positive and caring culture our team and clients have created and share. It gives me great joy to help our community live a better life and since many of our inspiring individuals have been with us for years, they love sharing their passion to live well and move well with any new clients starting off.” Barbara Wood, Co-Director & Co-Founder
“I’ve been a specialist in clinical rehabilitation using Pilates equipment and techniques for over 15 years, and I still love coming to work every day, teaching and sharing my passion for Pilates, and using my Physiotherapy knowledge to help clients achieve their rehabilitation goals in a safe, positive space.”
