Physiotherapist

Briar Petrie

  • Bachelor of Physiotherapy, University of Otago, NZ

Briar is a New Zealand-trained Physiotherapist who relocated to Cronulla in 2026 after working in a multidisciplinary private practice in the South Island of New Zealand. Having grown up in the coastal town of Mount Maunganui, she has always loved staying active and making the most of the beach lifestyle.

She has experience helping people manage a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions including sports injuries, muscle and tendon-related injuries, spinal and neck pain, joint pain and arthritis, post-operative rehabilitation, and recovery following joint replacements.

Briar is passionate about helping people feel strong, capable, and confident in their bodies again. She combines evidence-based rehabilitation with hands-on treatment, exercise therapy, and movement-focused care tailored to each individual. She has a real passion for seeing people return to the activities they love – whether that’s running, surfing, training at the gym, keeping up with their kids, or simply moving through daily life with more ease and confidence.

She also holds a 300-hour Yoga Teacher Training certification through Yoga Alliance, which allows her to incorporate breath work, body awareness, and controlled movement into rehabilitation and Pilates-based treatment approaches.

Alongside private practice, Briar has worked with the Samoa women’s national football team during international campaigns, including the FIFA Women’s World Cup. As a keen runner herself, she understands both the physical and mental importance of staying active and doing the things that bring people joy and balance in their lives.
